Network Framing Solutions Hosts the Association of Medical Facility Professionals (CT)

NFS-&-AMFP-tour-event

Network Framing Solutions is a leader in cold-formed metal framing, delivering precision wall panels, floor joists, and roof trusses that cut build times by up to 50%, minimize waste, and boost structural performance. Recently, we welcomed members of the newly formed Connecticut Chapter of the Association of Medical Facility Professionals (AMFP) for a night to connect and learn about using prefabricated steel when building medical facilities.

A Hands-On Look at Prefabrication in Action

Attendees included architects, builders, engineers, and owners involved in the construction or planning of new or renovated medical facilities. During a guided tour of our prefabrication shop, Assistant Manager Jeff Drogosek and Technical Expert Chip Lawrence led a live demonstration of the FRAMECAD® roll-form machines. Seeing the machines in action makes the concept click. The steel coils are fed through the machine, roll formed, punched for screws, and labeled. Quick and efficient. The fast-paced production does not hinder accuracy – panels are made to exact dimensions to allow windows, doors, and bathrooms to fit perfectly on the jobsite without welding or cutting. The precise production creates virtually no waste, but since steel is infinitely recyclable, this process is incredibly sustainable.

Collaboration and Expertise

Prizes were up for grabs through a few trivia contests during the tour, adding a fun and interactive element to the event. Following the demonstration, Jeff presented on the benefits of using prefabricated cold-formed steel panels as it relates to healthcare. The overall process with our team at Network Framing Solutions is highly collaborative – we like to be involved in the early stages of design to help provide the best solutions individual to each project. This collaboration and communication with the owners, architects, and MEP are highly praised aspects of working with the Network team. Our extensive industry knowledge allows us to strategically design as well as package the panels to be erected in an efficient manner once on site. Our sister company, Network Interiors, while not required to be the installers, is a huge asset due to their connection and experience with installing the product.
