AIA Accredited Seminar: Building with Off-Site Construction
Network Framing Solutions (NFS) has been approved by AIA Connecticut to offer a seminar to earn Continuing Education System (CES) credits. The first session will be held on Friday, November 1st at the NFS manufacturing facility in Plainville, CT from 1 to 3 pm.
The program will cover key learning objectives including the terminology of prefabricated products and systems, planning and design with prefabrication, lean construction and just-in-time supply chain fulfillment, and the effect of prefabrication on project schedules, site waste, quality, and site safety. Following a brief question and answer period at the end of the session, attendees will be invited to tour the NFS manufacturing facility and observe live demonstrations.
The instructor for the program will be Melissa Sheffy, Owner of NFS and Network Interiors, a commercial interior specialty subcontractor.
“Off-site prefabrication is no longer an emerging trend. It has become the new normal in construction,” said Sheffy. “We are proud to offer this program for AIA members to take advantage of new technologies to build better, faster, and maximize profits for owners.”
