Network Framing Solutions Helps Local Non-Profits with Giving Challenge for October Manufacturing Month

Owners Melissa Sheffy and Tony Sheffy create a Matching Grant Program to benefit three organizations hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Plainville, CT— October 5, 2020 — Network Framing Solutions (NFS) is a producer of custom-engineered prefabricated framing for walls, floors, and roof structures. The company has helped keep commercial construction building through the pandemic with its advanced manufacturing technology and methods. Now, NFS owners Melissa and Tony Sheffy want to help local non-profits rebuild their funding safety nets.

The couple has created a Matching Grant Program through NFS that will double donations up to $5,000 to the Construction Education Center (CEC), the Southington-Cheshire YMCA, and the Grace Methodist Church in Southington.

“We are fortunate to have been able to work continuously through this challenging time,” said Melissa Sheffy. “As a new manufacturer in Connecticut, we are celebrating Manufacturing Month with a giving challenge to assist non-profit organizations in the local communities where we work and live.”

Tony Sheffy, a partner in the law firm of Sheffy Mazzaccaro DePaolo & Denigris, LLP, added, “The safety net provided by non-profits is more critical at this time than ever. Because of COVID, traditional sources of funding have continued to shrink. We decided to invest in our community by making a contribution and challenging others to do the same.”

Any donations to CEC, Southington-Cheshire YMCA, or Grace United Methodist Church between October 1 – 31 can be applied as part of the NFS Matching Grant Program. Each organization has the opportunity to raise a maximum total of $10,000.

October also is Careers in Construction Month. With a new, accredited electrical apprenticeship program and apprenticeship training in HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal, and carpentry, the CEC is committed to training the next generation of Connecticut’s skilled construction workforce. Donations through the NFS Matching Grant Program will support education and training programs.
